Why ILF makes the difference
In the ILF system the limbs sit in a standardised pocket fitting. That gives you two things bolt-down systems cannot: you can adjust draw weight by several pounds using the tiller bolt, and you are not tied to one manufacturer when you buy new limbs. An ILF riser is a platform, not a dead end.
Wood instead of aluminium
Most ILF risers are machined aluminium – functional, but soulless. The Mohawk riser is built from laminated layers of wood. It sits warmer in the hand, damps the shot noticeably, and looks like a bow rather than a tool. For traditional archers who want ILF technology without moving to metal, it is the obvious choice.
Limited quantity
We build this set from components already in stock, and the limbs are the limiting factor. Only a handful of sets are available per draw weight. If your weight is sold out, sign up to be notified rather than settling for another – a bow with the wrong draw weight is no fun.
Product description
ILF stands for International Limb Fitting – the open limb system that lets you combine risers and limbs from different makers. Archers who switch to ILF rarely switch back. This set is the way in, with a riser made of real wood instead of aluminium.
